Aspen Dental dentures are custom-crafted to suit you – making them incredibly comfortable and natural looking.
At the beginning of the denture process, there is a “try-in” period. Your teeth will be positioned in wax so you and your dentist can see what your dentures will look like. This is a great opportunity to discuss the appearance and make adjustments, so you’ll be happy with the end result.
Many patients notice that once they get dentures, pronounced facial lines are softened, giving them a more youthful look. We want our denture patients to be proud of their smile. Don’t be afraid to show it.
Our process is designed to give you the best-fitting dentures, resulting in a natural smile.
Our denture-fitting process
Typically, you’ll go through a few steps to ensure your dentures fit properly.
1. First we will take an impression of your mouth. 2. Depending on your situation and how many natural teeth you have, we will either take a bite registration or a wax try-in, or both.
A bite registration is needed to determine how your upper and lower jaws or existing teeth naturally line up. To do this, you will bite down into a soft material. This helps us make sure your dentures will feel right and work right.
During your wax try-in, you’ll see what your new smile will look like. At this stage, your actual denture teeth are set in wax so that you and the dentist can be satisfied with the size, shape, color, and position of the teeth. This is a great time to discuss any necessary changes with your dentist, since we want you to be entirely happy with the look of your denture.
In-office denture labs
Your dentures and denture repairs will be made right in your local office. That means fewer office visits, faster turnaround times, and affordable pricing since you’re not paying for a third-party lab.
It also means your dentist and denture technician can more easily work together to make denture adjustments for a better fit.
Getting comfortable with your dentures
New dentures can take some time to get used to. You may experience a few common issues, including increased saliva, the feeling that your dentures are too loose or too big for your mouth, irritation and soreness. These issues are normal and should get better over time. Remember: we are here for you every step of the way.
