South Bend Tribune: Aspen Dental Donates Towards Oral Cancer Foundation; Promotes Early Detection

In recognition of Oral Cancer Awareness Month and to promote early detection of oral cancer, Aspen Dental is donating $5 to the Oral Cancer Foundation for each Vizilite Plus screening that is conducted in April.

SOUTH BEND — All branches of Aspen Dental, including the one in the Erskine Village at 1290 E. Ireland Road, will donate $5 to the Oral Cancer Foundation for each oral cancer screening that patients pay to have done in April.

Some possible signs of oral cancer include a bleeding sore in the throat or mouth that doesn’t heal within two weeks; a lump in the cheek; a white or red patch on the gums, tongue, tonsils or lining of the mouth; and difficulty chewing or swallowing.
